Developed over the lifetime of influential art dealer Ileana Sonnabend, the Sonnabend Collection is among the most significant private holdings of modern and contemporary art in the world. Spanning seven decades, the collection features over 100 works by 68 artists and covers a wide range of styles and movements including Pop, Minimalism, Conceptualism, Nouveau Réalisme, Arte Povera, Neo-Expressionism, Neo-Geo, Photo Conceptualism and beyond. In its most comprehensive presentation to date in North America, and first exposure in Canada, Remai Modern in Saskatoon will be showing the collection from October 5th, 2019 to March 22nd, 2020.

Post Projects was commissioned by the museum to design an exhibition catalogue which provides a comprehensive survey of the collection, its history and its presentation at Remai Modern. Working closely with the Remai team and curator Antonio Homem, the son of Ms. Sonnabend and current steward of the collection, the 248-page publication exhibits a contemporary aesthetic that places the artworks front and centre.
