Founded by two beer industry veterans, Nigel Springthorpe and Conrad Gosmer, Brassneck Brewery was established in late 2013 and remains one of Vancouver’s most beloved breweries. With a restlessly rotating offering of perfectly executed staples and small batch, experimental beers, the brewery balances a seriousness about quality with a healthy dose of whimsy and humor.
Involved from day one, we were engaged to develop a visual identity, growler program, retail signage, website, various collateral items and poster designs for opening day. The identity we developed makes use of bold typography and graphic forms, starkly contrasted by more loose, whimsical ink drawings. In the years since opening, we’ve worked with their team to steadily expand the brand system to include apparel designs, posters, merchandise, packaging and a series of beer can designs.
